How much will the advice cost?
This is dependent upon you, your needs, the complexity of the work and level of support needed. The cost of advice will be discussed at the end of the initial consultation and will either be a fixed fee paid upfront or an implementation fee paid by the provider, from source of funds on completion. There are no fees paid by you for protection, we are paid a commission from the provider.
Can you save me income tax?
We have helped many of our clients save on income tax whether business or private clients, using tax efficient investment vehicles. We can work alongside your accountant to implement this, saving you time.
Tax treatment varies according to individual circumstances and is subject to change.
How do I know if I’m taking the right amount of investment risk?
At PPW our approach to investment advice is based on clearly understanding your financial situation, your goals, and how much risk you are prepared to take with your money. Our advisers will help you complete an attitude to risk questionnaire which will help us establish your risk appetite and invest accordingly. We will also assess your current investments to ensure they meet your needs.
The value of the investment and the income they produce can go down as well as up and you may not get back as much as you put in.
How do I know I need professional financial advice?
If you have the ambition to build, protect or distribute your wealth in accordance with the financial future or lifestyle you want, for yourself and your family, it would be enormously important for anyone, having a like-minded expert, - with you on your journey, its immeasurably beneficial.
I’m worried about inheritance tax, but should I be?
If you have built an established sizeable estate of bricks and mortar, you are about to gift an asset or you have received inheritance, it would be a good time to speak with one of advisers to discuss if tax will be levied and what your options are.
I’ve always stayed out of financial matters and now I’m going through a divorce, what should I do?
Get to grips with your finances. There’s never been a more important time to establish what it cost to run your home, support yourself and dependants. Financial matters can be complex especially during divorce, its best to have a professional financial adviser on your side from the get go. We can also introduce you to a divorce lawyer should you need one.
I have old life, critical illness or income protection policies, I’m not sure what they were for, what should I do?
Book in a protection review at our cost, it will cost you nothing but an investment of your time. We can explain to you what it covers, establish whether it suits your current needs and recommend changing the policy if needed. Your provider with pay us a commission for putting the cover in place.
